چکیده

The increasing industrialization and urbanization in recent times has led to a significant increase heavy metal pollution soil sediment. The present study aims evaluate the contamination (HmC) surface sediments collected from Kosasthalaiyar River located between latitudes 13°12′03″N 13°16′34″N longitudes 80°18′6″E 80°19′56″E. Ten sampling locations were selected area samples of analyzed for 16 geochemical parameters, including Silver (Ag), Aluminium (Al), Calcium (Ca), Cadmium (Cd), Chloride, Cobalt (Co), Total Chromium (Cr), Copper (Cu), Mercury (Hg), Manganese (Mn), Molybdenum (Mo), Nickel (Ni), Lead (Pb), Silica (Si), Titanium (Ti), Zinc (Zn). determine potential environmental hazards metals sediment through calculation hazard index (RI). Assess impact human activities on HmC using four indices: Geo-accumulation (Igeo), Contaminant factor (CF), degree (DC), (PCI), load (PLI) Conduct health risk assessment (HHRA) results will provide insight into levels help inform measures controlling promoting sustainability area.
